Take the train to Kvitfjell
Make your journey to the mountains easier and more environmentally friendly – take the train to Kvitfjell! The train stops directly at Kvitfjell station, where you can easily slide straight onto the ski slope.
From here you can:
- Take the lift straight from the station and up into the mountains throughout the winter season
- Or use our shuttle bus on weekends throughout the winter season
From city to mountain - easy
You can travel by train to Kvitfjell with all northbound and southbound routes that go towards Trondheim / Oslo. On weekends, you can take a bus from the station to Gudbrandsgard or Skitorget.

- Train time Oslo Airport - Kvitfjell station: from 2 hours and 15 min.
- Train time Trondheim - Kvitfjell station: from 3h 56 min.
Transfer bus to/from Kvitfjell station
On some departures/arrivals during the ski season, we have set up a transfer bus from Kvitfjell station and up into the mountains. The bus goes to the mountains on Thursday and Friday and from Sunday.
Practical info - Kvitfjell station
Kvitfjell station is located at the finish area in Kvitfjell, right on the Olympic Express board. The train only stops if you have booked a ticket to or from Kvitfjell.
From the station, you can take the elevator to Mellomstasjonen and Gudbrandsgard Hotel. Here you can also pick up lift passes. To get back to the station, it is possible to ski in Nedre Olympiabakke (black trail) during the facility's opening hours. You can also take the lift during the lift's opening hours. Buy skipass online
You get the best price on skipass when you buy it well in advance. Buy your lift pass online and pick them up in our pick up boxes located in the facility (Skitorget on the West Side and Middle Station).
Hotels, cabins and apartments close to the ground
Enjoy time together in cabins close to the slopes. Lazy mornings, good breakfasts and fantastic skiing. Back at the cabin, enjoy quality time with family and friends gathered around a board game and a fire on the fireplace.
