Activities in Kvitfjell
This summer you can enjoy mountain hikes on foot and by bike, climbing tower, frisbee golf and nature trails. Swim in fresh mountain lakes, rent a canoe and explore the cozy village of Ringebu. Equipment for the mountain trip can be bought at our sports shop on the West Side and Tyrihanstunet invites you to a wonderful meal in very charming surroundings.

Summer at Tyrihanstunet
Tyrihanstunet is a charming and very popular restaurant in Kvitfjell. Located in a yard consisting of several old houses, there is a lot of tradition and charm in the walls here.
Swimming and fishing lakes

Bathing areas
There are several nice swimming spots in Kvitfjell, whether you just want a quick dip after a run or if you want to take the family for a little mountain swimming. We have listed several places where it is nice to swim in the mountains.

Canoe rental
It is possible to rent a canoe or boat via the Village of Ringebu and the Ringebu Mountain Board. Lågen is a great starting point and a real paddling eldorado. There are also several mountain lakes that are great to use for both boats and canoes.

Venabygdsfjellet also has many beautiful rivers and lakes you can paddle on. In addition, there are great fishing opportunities. If you need to rent either a boat or a bike, you can rent this at Venabu Hotel.

Fishing lakes
In the area around Kvitfjell there are several idyllic fishing lakes. Remember to buy a fishing license!
The fishing license gives access to approx. 30 fishing lakes and over 120 km of streams and rivers in the state commons in Ringebu.
About

Octagons
This must be Gudbrandsdalen's best-hidden gem, despite the fact that it is so easy to find. Oktagon is a work of art located at Harpefoss, right at the exit to Gålå from the E6. Worth a visit!

The village of Ringebu
A short drive from Kvitfjell, you will find the charming village of Ringebu. In the cozy pedestrian street you will find, among other things , the café Hev with baked goods from the bakery in Lom, Annie's Sausage Maker and Restaurant, sports shops such as Sport 1 and Værfast, clothing stores, bookstore, yarn shop, grocery, pharmacy, optician and delicious homemade chocolate from Oh la la.
The village of Ringebu is worth a visit or several!

Hafjell Bike Park
Hafjell Bike Park is a leader in Norway in lift-based cycling. The 19 purpose-built trails wind their way down the forest surrounding the alpine slopes and feature fun elements for all skill levels. Nevertheless, we recommend that children should be at least 8 years old to cycle downhill. The youngest children can unfold in our new pump track at Gondoltoppen as well as rent bikes with the family and trail bike into the mountains.
The downhill trails are ranked from green to black difficulty, where green is the easiest, and black is for the more experienced cyclists.

Hunderfossen Family Park
40 min drive from Kvitfjell is Hunderfossen Adventure Park. With its 250,000 visiting guests during a summer, Hunderfossen is one of Norway's most visited tourist attractions. Here there is something for the whole family, big and small.
In the Adventure Park there are more than 60 great attractions and sights for the whole family together, and for several days to the end. The particularly calm and nice atmosphere in the park means that both children, grandparents and grandchildren enjoy being together here.

Activities in the Lillehammer area
There is so much fun to do in the Lillehammer region! Ride downhill cycling in Hafjell, while little brother tries his hand at pump track. Maybe it tempts you to take a trip to Lilleputthammer or how about a little shopping in Lillehammer's famous pedestrian street?

Rafting in Sjoa
Sjoa is known as Norway's and one of the world's best rafting rivers. Here you can experience excitement on the river in fantastic surroundings. Rafting is suitable for most people who like speed and fun, from the slightly older children and up. It is also possible to try canyoning, river boarding and many other exciting activities.Sjoa is about 1 hour's drive from Kvitfjell.
