1 ALPINCO AS – TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE FOR THE PURCHASE OF LIFT TICKETS
1.1 General
These Terms and Conditions of Sale, together with your confirmed booking, constitute the contractual basis for your purchase of a lift pass at one of Alpinco AS' (Alpinco) ski and cycling destinations, Hafjell, Kvitfjell or Oppdal ("Destinations").
1.2 Ordering and payment
1.2.1 Execution of an order
All booking of lift tickets is done via Alpinco's website www.alpinco.no, Alpinco's App, or by purchasing from a vending machine at one of Alpinco's destinations.
All Alpinco destinations use a touchless lift pass solution (Axess). If you have an Axess card, this can be reused by filling in the card number when ordering a new lift pass. All lift passes must be activated at the destination where the purchase is registered.
The person who orders a lift pass (Buyer) must be at least 18 years old at the time of booking.
1.2.2 Binding effect of the order
The order becomes binding on the contracting parties as soon as the Buyer has received a confirmation of the order, and the Buyer has paid in accordance with the provision in section 1.2.3. In the case of an order with a postponed payment deadline, the order becomes binding even if payment has not been made.
1.2.3 Payment
The buyer is obliged to pay the agreed price for the purchase of a lift pass when completing the order via Alpinco's website, when purchasing from a vending machine, or within the deadline stated in Alpinco's booking confirmation.
Several payment services are available for purchases in Alpinco's destinations. By paying, the Buyer accepts the terms and conditions of the payment service in question.
Transaction costs for international payments are paid by the Buyer.
1.2.4 Late payment
When purchasing a lift pass with a postponed payment deadline, the order becomes binding as soon as the Buyer has received a confirmation of the order. If payment is not made within the payment deadline, this will result in cancellation. The buyer's obligation to pay in such a cancellation event is regulated by section 1.4.
1.3 Prices
Alpinco is responsible for delivering ski passes at the prices stated on their website, in payment machines, special offers or other information/promotional materials issued by Alpinco. Alpinco's prices are dynamic and subject to change according to supply/demand.
Alpinco's lift pass prices vary for the following age groups
- Children (0-6 years), ski for free with the use of a helmet (Axess ski pass fee applies).
- Children/Youth (7-17 years)
- Adult (18-64 years)
- Senior (65 years+)
It is the age at the time of booking that determines which age group the user of the lift pass is placed in.
Alpinco reserves the right to make any typographical errors and that Alpinco in such cases has the right to change the booking in accordance with the correct price. Alpinco also reserves the right to change the price as a result of increased costs for the purchase of goods and services, increased taxes and duties and/or other circumstances beyond Alpinco's control.
Such change is conditional on Alpinco notifying the Buyer that the order is changed in line with the correct price before the lift pass(s) are used.
1.4 Cancellation/changes
Pre-booked lift passes can be cancelled or changed within 10 days before the date the lift pass is valid. Within this deadline, the date and/or period of validity of the lift pass can also be changed.
In the event of a change of date within the deadline, prices can also be changed in line with current prices at the time of the change. Subject to price changes also apply if the lift pass is purchased at a discount or in connection with a campaign.
After the deadline, the right to cancel and change lapses, and the Buyer will be responsible for paying the purchase price stated in the booking confirmation, regardless of whether the lift pass is used or not.
If the purchase is made with a deferred payment deadline, and the payment is due earlier than 10 days before the date the lift pass is valid, failure to meet the payment deadline will be considered a cancellation that exempts the Buyer from the obligation to pay. In such a case, the cancellation will take place automatically on the following day after the due date. Any new order from the Buyer is made on the basis of these general terms and conditions of sale, the prices in force at any given time and the capacity of the destination.
In the event of a postponed payment deadline, and the payment is due later than 10 days before the date the lift pass is valid, failure to comply with the payment deadline will be an unjustified cancellation that does not exempt the Buyer from the obligation to pay.
1.5 Right of withdrawal
Consumers who buy lift tickets at a distance or outside Alpinco's fixed business premises (including Alpinco's vending machines) have the right of withdrawal under the Right of Withdrawal Act. The right of withdrawal does not apply to anyone other than consumers.
A consumer who wishes to exercise the right of withdrawal must do so within fourteen (14) days after the purchase was made. The right of withdrawal must be exercised by filling out this form.
A cancellation form must be sent to b[email protected]
The costs of any return of lift tickets are paid by the consumer.
If the lift pass has been used before the right of withdrawal is exercised, the consumer must still pay reasonable costs, including but not limited to the lift ticket price during the period the lift pass is used, cf. Section 26 of the Right of Withdrawal Act.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to the purchase of package tours.
1.6 Alpinco's provision of lift services and skiing and cycling experiences
1.6.1 General information about the Service
Alpinco strives at all times to deliver the best experiences possible at all its destinations. Skiing and cycling are outdoor activities, and the open offer at any given time (lifts and routes) will vary depending on the time during the ski or cycling season, weather and driving conditions, and the technical operation of the facility.
The buyer of a lift pass must expect that not all lifts and/or routes are open at all times, without this entailing a breach of contract on the part of Alpinco.
1.6.2 Weather and conditions
The weather in the mountains is changeable and Alpinco does not give refunds on lift passes in case of bad weather, fog, snow, icing, snow melting, strong winds, heavy rain, flooding or the like. The buyer is responsible for familiarizing himself with the weather forecast for the destination in force at any given time, and for assessing whether his own skills and equipment are sufficient to handle the prevailing weather and ground conditions.
1.6.3 Competitions and training
In Alpinco's destinations, training sessions are regularly arranged under the auspices of ski/cycling clubs and teams, and competitions are held at all levels. During training and/or competitions, parts of the destination's ski and cycling routes will be closed and reserved for participants and support staff.
Such restrictions may be particularly extensive in connection with, but not limited to, the implementation of World Cup races, without entailing a breach of contract on the part of Alpinco.
1.6.4 Business interruption – right to reimbursement
When purchasing a day pass, half-day pass, hour card or single trip, no refund will be given in the event of operational interruption.
For multi-day passes and season passes, the Buyer is entitled to a refund in the event of an interruption in operation (lift stop) that means that more than 50% of the total trail offer at the time of purchase cannot be used, provided that the following two conditions are met:
- The downtime must be of at least 30 minutes duration, and
- The sum of the service interruptions must account for more than 1/3 of the validity period of the lift pass.
Both conditions must be met, and the Buyer is only entitled to a proportionate refund for the time the lift pass cannot be used.
The proportionate reimbursement shall be determined on the basis of the average daily cost of the card, less a percentage corresponding to the reduction in the offer.
In the event of an interruption of operations beyond the control of the ski and cycling facility (force majeure), the refund shall be equal to 50% of the proportionate refund to which the cardholder is entitled pursuant to the previous paragraph. This applies in the event of operational interruptions as a result of, for example, weather and wind conditions, avalanches, lightning, flooding, fire, power outages, strikes, IT breaks, closure of national borders and/or shutdowns following government orders (such as in the case of Covid19), war, etc., and which constitute circumstances that Alpinco could not reasonably expect to take into account at the time of purchase.
It is the responsibility of Alpinco to document that the outage is due to such circumstances and that the plant has not had the opportunity to avoid or overcome the consequences of these.
All refund claims must be addressed in writing to Alpinco as soon as it is clear to the Buyer that the actual conditions for refund have been met, and no later than the expiry date of the card. If the buyer does not do this, the claim for a refund will be lost.
Refund claims that apply to season tickets cannot be settled until the season has ended. Therefore, the buyer cannot demand that Alpinco decides on and/or repays the refund amount before the end of the season. Alpinco is obliged to decide on the refund claim and repay any refund amount, within 1 month after the date of the end of the season.
1.7 The Lift Pass Holder's Responsibilities
The lift pass is personal for the person who has been issued it (the lift pass holder) and cannot be transferred/lent to others.
Before using the Lift Pass, the Lift Pass holder is responsible for familiarizing themselves with the Alpine Code of Conduct (https://alpinogfjell.no/alpinvettreglene) and the destination's rules/instructions in force at any given time.
In this context, the Lift Pass holder is responsible for adapting speed and driving patterns to his or her own skills, and for ensuring that all traffic takes place in a way that does not pose a danger to the Lift Pass holder himself or others. Failure to comply with this duty of care may result in liability for damages to Alpinco or others who suffer damage as a result of the Lift Pass holder's conduct.
The lift pass holder is obliged to familiarize themselves with the destination's opening and closing times, open and closed slopes, and to monitor and comply with all signs on the alpine slopes or instructions given by Alpinco's personnel.
All driving outside the facility's marked trails is at the Lift Pass holder's own risk.
NOTE! Alpinco would like to draw special attention to the fact that all driving/traffic in the facility after closing hours is prohibited, and that violation of this prohibition may expose you to great danger.
After closing time, slopes are prepared with heavy pedaling machines, and wire is used to pull the pedaling machines up steep sections. Do not rely on the fact that you will be able to detect treadmills or wires in time to avoid these. Overhangs can hide a treadmill. A wire is also difficult to detect against the background, especially in the dark. A wire can be hidden in the snow, and move both horizontally and vertically with great force when tightened.
1.8 Personal data
Alpinco is committed to your privacy and processes all personal data in accordance with the regulations in force at any given time. For further information on how we process personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy, which can be found in section 7 of this document.

2.6 Right of withdrawal
Rental of Equipment is a service related to leisure activities, set on a specific date or for a specific period of time. Such purchases do not give the Buyer the right of withdrawal; Section 22 first paragraph (m) of the Right of Withdrawal Act.
2.7 Lessor's delivery of rental equipment
The Lessor is responsible for delivering the Equipment ordered on time.
The equipment supplied may differ from pictures. The Lessor is not obliged to deliver the same Equipment Model as depicted on Alpinco's website, in special offers or other informational/promotional material issued by the Lessor or Alpinco. It is contractual fulfilment if the Lessor supplies Equipment that is suitable for the same purpose, is adapted to the same level of skiing or cycling and is of equivalent quality.
