Activities outside the door
At Varden you will find two frisbee golf courses - one at the bottom and one at the top - which provide a fun and active way to explore the mountains. Here, both children and adults can challenge each other in a social activity in the middle of nature, perfect as part of a family holiday in Kvitfjell or a relaxing stop in Gudbrandsdalen. Frisbees can be rented or bought in the sports shop at Skitorget.
Family activities
At Skitorget in Kvitfjell you will find family-friendly activities that are perfect for a summer holiday in Gudbrandsdalen - whether you are passing through along the E6 or using Kvitfjell as a base for your holiday.
Here, the whole family can test coordination and reaction ability in "The Master of the Family", and the children can explore play and learning in the nature trail from the Science Centre Innlandet. The area also offers climbing towers and easy bike paths and trails – ideal for active breaks in the mountains between experiences.
Animal visits
At Skitorget we will be visited by both ponies and alpacas this summer. The nice animals will be a highlight for the children during the holiday. They can join pony camps and rental rounds with the horses and rental rounds with the alpacas.

In Kvitfjell there are many great swimming spots. Everything from calm mountain lakes, to beautiful rivers and large waterfalls. At the bottom of Varden, the river Svinåa flows past, and there are several nice swimming pools along the river.

On the west side of Kvitfjell is the iconic Tyrihans yard. In a yard between log houses, you will find your own charm and food in a class of its own.
