About your stay at Favn

All about the apartment
  • Wi-Fi: The network is called Favn Hafjell. 
    Favn Chalet: see separate label by TV with Wi-Fi and password
  • TV: Turn on the TV via the remote control in the living room.
  • Garbage/waste sorting: We encourage everyone to sort waste at source at the associated recycling station outside Favn. Glass, leftovers and cardboard. On departure, everyone must bring garbage and clean out the apartment.
  • Additional Products:
    • Bed linen/cot/high chair: Booked in advance with the booking/accommodation. If you have forgotten this, it can be ordered by calling HafjellKvitfjell Booking, (+47) 612 49 000.
    • Intermediate cleaning: For longer stays, you can order intermediate cleaning, which includes emptying garbage, cleaning surfaces , as well as vacuuming and mopping floors.

TV not working?

If the TV channels are not working, follow this process:

  1. Press Home

  2. Select Wi-Fi Connection / Network Status

  3. Select Disconnect and confirm with Yes

  4. Select Network Settings

  5. Select Wired Network

  6. Wait until it shows that your TV is connected to the network but not to the internet

  7. Select Close

  8. Select Source

  9. Select TV Portal or Custom App from the menu.
    Wait for the hourglass to appear and the channels to load.

  10. If the TV channels still do not work, call 61 27 47 47

Check-in & Check-out
  • Check-in from 17:00
  • Check-out by 11:00
  • Key code: this will be received by SMS as soon as the device is ready for check-in. You will also receive an SMS one hour before check-out at 11:00 with important information about e.g. when the code stops working and a link to check-out. This code is also used for the entrance to the ski storage room.
  • Cleaning: On departure, the guest must clean up after themselves. This means that the guest washes off spills on counters, washes dishes and removes rubbish and empty goods. Bed linen must be removed and placed next to the bed upon departure. Should our cleaners not approve the clean-up, an additional fee will be charged. Remember to close all doors and windows.
Your skiing and cycling experience
  • Lift pass: The easiest way is to buy lift tickets online, if you don't have a WTP card, you can buy this online as well. There is a pick-up machine at the lift house to the Gondola - only a few tens of meters from Favn. Here you can pick up your WTP card. You can also buy WTP cards at the ski rental at Favn, which is located behind the restaurant. Lift tickets online you can buy here.Otherwise, you can buy lift tickets at Skitorget at the bottom of the facility, and pick them up at a pick-up machine at Skitorget and/or Gaia. 
     
  • Bicycles: Bicycle rental can be found down at Skitorget and on the ground floor of Favn (B). You can pre-book bikes here. With us you can book both downhill bikes, children's bikes for pump tracks and electric bikes for trails. Have a good trip:)
     
  • Ski lockers: Ski equipment and ski boots must be stored in separate ski lockers belonging to the apartments.  The ski lockers are located on the ground floor in a separate room in the yard. The code for ski lockers is the same code that you have received for your apartment.
     
  • Ski rental & ski service: Do you need equipment for skiing or snowboarding?   HafjellSki Rental has freshly prepared, modern ski equipment tailored for you. Book ski rental here and your equipment can be picked up in the ski rental department Favn or by pre-booking it can be picked up in the ski locker. Otherwise, Hafjell have a ski rental department also at Skitorget and at Gaiastova.
     
  • Ski school: Hafjell ski school offers private lessons and group lessons for both skiing and snowboarding. The meeting point for group lessons is when boarding the ski school home in the valley station and when disembarking the gondola at Mosetertoppen. If you book a private lesson with the ski school, remember to state that you live at Favn so that you can meet here. If you have not booked ski school, you can book ski school here.
     
  • Trail map: Get to know our destination, take a look at the winter trail map here, or the summer trail map here.  
     
  • Webcam: Watch our live webcams that are located at Gondoltoppen, Midtstasjonen and Hafjell 360.
  • Guest Centre: We have a guest center at Favn and at Skitorget. Here you can get help with practical questions about your ski holiday. In addition, you can buy some groceries and basic items at the guest center on Favn.

Grocery, restaurant & shop
  • Grocery: The nearest grocery store is down in Øyer. Kiwi, Spar, Coop Extra, Spar and pharmacy. You can also buy some groceries at our guest center.
     
  • Restaurants: In our ski resort you will find the following food offers and restaurants.
    • Winter: At Gondoltoppen (where you are now): Restaurant Favn, Café Favn, Skavlen and Sætra. Middle station: Olympiatunet. Hafjelltoppen/Gaia: Vidsyn and Gaiastova. Dalstasjonen: Hafjell Pizza, Lodgen and Woody's. Read about all our eateries here.
    • Summer: Skavlen and Sætra (located just outside Favn) are open. In Dalstasjonen , Hafjell Pizza, Woody's and Lodgen are open.
       
  • Sports shop: Hafjell Sport has a shop both at Skitorget in the valley station and at Gaiastova. Here you can buy everything needed for your skiing and cycling holiday.
Other Amenities
  • Training room: On the ground floor of Favn B is Favn fitness room. The gym is specially designed by Aksel Lund Svindal with exercise equipment from American Barbell and Spirit, as well as free weights, kettlebells, treadmills, mats and the like. Access to the fitness room is only for our guests staying at Favn or in Favn Chalet. The age limit in the gym is 16 years. Clean the appliances after use and put shoes on the shoe shelves in the hallway outside. To enter, use the same code as for your apartment.

    NB: There is an age limit of 16 years to be in the gym alone. If you are under the age of 16, your parents must be present.
     
  • Meeting room: On the same floor as Favn gym in building B, we have a meeting room available with room for 24 people. The meeting room can be rented on a half-day and full-day basis with refreshments. Contact Hafjell Kvitfjell Booking for booking, [email protected] or +(47) 61 24 90 00.
In case of emergency
  • Fire: If a false fire alarm is triggered , you must cancel it within 2 minutes in the hallway and make sure that the smoke detector in the unit is free of smoke. If you do not have time for this, it will be triggered again, but if you do not have time to cancel within 2 minutes, a message is sent to the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre and the fire brigade moves out.

Driving Directions and Parking
  • GPS coordinates: 61.244571, 10.492372 See directions from the E6 via Google Maps. Address: Pjeksen 80, 2636 Øyer 
     
  • If you drive from Øyer: 
    When you drive the E6 turn off towards Øyer/Hafjell, take the first exit out of the roundabout and continue straight ahead for about 900 m on Hundervegen before turning left on Gamlevegen and following the signs to Hafjelltoppen. Then drive straight ahead on Gamlevegen, about 900 meters up and keep to the right further up Nermosvegen about 700 m. Up at Sørbygdsvegen, turn right and follow the signs to Hafjelltoppen. Continue straight ahead until you see a road on your right before the tunnel. Then follow the blue signs to Mosetertoppen/Skavlen/Favn on Mosætervegen.  Follow Mosætervegen far up the mountain, through a toll station and under a ski bridge with a "Mosetertoppen" sign. Drive about 200 meters after the ski bridge and turn right on Pjeksen (the sign for Skavlen/Favn). Right after the new ski bridge, drive straight ahead and keep left. NOTE! There is currently a construction site. Keep left until you see Favn and parking.
     
  • Note: There is a boom on the way up. This bill must be paid on autopay.io within 48 hours since passing. If it is not paid, you will receive a fee.
     
  • If you drive towards Hafjelltoppen: If you take the E6 towards Hafjelltoppen, just follow Sørbygdsvegen to the north until after the tunnel where you turn up towards Mosætervegen on the left side (see the rest of the description above).
