News in the mountains this summer: fun and learning for the whole family
Alpinco and Vitensenteret Innlandet are launching exciting summer activities in Hafjell and Kvitfjell
This summer, it will be extra fun to take the trip to the mountains. In a new and exciting collaboration, Alpinco and Vitensenteret Innlandet have developed educational and fun activities for both young and old guests in Hafjell and Kvitfjell. Inspired by the TV show Mesternes Mester and the slogan "Fun with meaning", you can challenge both your mind and body on our brand new activity trails.
Master course – test your reaction, precision and patience
Three different physical installations await you on the master trail:
- Gigakule Games – The Road to the Top
Here, the ball must be guided from the bottom to the top by pulling the strings, but make sure that it does not fall off the field or into any of the obstacles. In this installation, you must have full concentration, good balance and coordination to get to the top. - The reaction duel
Test your reaction, and feel free to challenge a friend. In "The Reaction Duel", the goal is to catch the falling cylinders before they hit the ground – or before your opponent grabs it. It requires full concentration and quick reaction! - The power course – the perfect turn
Here it is important to be steady on the hand and lead the circle through the course without touching the track. If the circle touches the path, it will be signaled with a sound.
The trails are placed in three places:

- Skitorget in Kvitfjell
- At Gudbrandsgard Hotel
Nature trail with thought tasks and experiments
In addition to the physical challenges, you can join an educational nature trail. The nature trails contain six posts with different ideas and experiments. Here there will be topics such as encryption, memorization, wonder and experimentation to find the answers. The posts are designed so that they are also relevant to the nature around us, and the times we live in.

The goal of the collaboration is to give the mountain guests new activities that challenge both the head and body, as well as lay a foundation for pondering, experimentation and experiences together. By placing the installations out in the mountains, they become available around the clock and invite a large target group to explore and wonder.
About the Science Centre Innlandet
The Science Centre Innlandet in Gjøvik is more than just an experience centre! It is an arena where children and young people can explore science and technology through play, experimentation and wonder. Here there are over a hundred interactive installations, travel to space in the Planetarium, try out the laser room and other activities that inspire creative thinking and problem solving. The centre is tailored to arouse curiosity and a desire to learn, and gives children and young people the opportunity to learn by doing, with their whole body and all their senses in use. The center is open every weekend and during holidays for Innlandet.
