Summer in Hafjell for the little ones
The Hafjell area has a number of activities and experiences even for the little ones. Here the little ones can enjoy themselves indoors on a rainy summer day or enjoy the summer heat outdoors on sunny days.
Stay close to the adventure
Just 5 minutes from Hunderfossen Adventure Park, Hafjell is the perfect base for your summer holiday. Combine magical days at the park with cycling, mountain adventures, and quality time together.
Playground with climbing elements
Next to the pump track is a playground for the little ones, with fun climbing elements and challenges suitable for both small and large children. It is free, with benches available and open to everyone.
We also have a swing set and slide, located right by Skavlen.
Lilleputthammer
Within 10 minutes' walk of Hafjell Alpine Centre, Lilleputthammer Family Park is a short walk away. This is a miniature version of Storgata in Lillehammer in the 1930s, built on a scale of 1:4. For adults, Lilleputthammer Family Park provides a historical look back to the 1930s with the shops, hotels and cafes of the time. There are 44 shops, 2 hotels, 3 cafes, 2 bakery, police and cinema. In "the little town with the big heart", children can ride trains, cars, boats, carousels, Ferris wheels, roller coasters or whizz down in Ola's frog jump.
They can frolic in climbing towers, obstacle courses, bouncy castles and trampolines.

Maihaugen
Maihaugen is a cultural history museum in scenic surroundings in Lillehammer. The museum's more than 200 historic buildings provide a unique insight into the way of life of the past in Norway. In the summer, many of the historic houses are opened, and you are invited in by "residents" from different times. Join us for nostalgic and educational meetings from the different eras.
Maihaugen also has many animals that are nice to greet. In the summer, they are out grazing in the open-air museum.
Hafjell Playland
The closest neighbor to Lilleputthammer is Hafjell Lekeland, which is one of Norway's largest indoor playgrounds with a play area of approx. 900 sqm. Here, children can jump, climb, crawl, balance, slide and explore obstacle courses and ball courts.
Open seats
In Øyerfjellet, there are still mountain farms that run traditional mountain farms with milk production for cows and goats. Some of these receive visitors and here you can cuddle with the animals, hear about life on the farm and take part in the barn care in the evening - here you also get some simple refreshments.
At Sjøsetra you can add farm visits during your stay - very suitable for families with children.
