Summer in Hafjell for the little ones
The Hafjell area has a number of activities and experiences even for the little ones. Here the little ones can enjoy themselves indoors on a rainy summer day or enjoy the summer heat outdoors on sunny days.
Pump Track
A pump track is an undulating bike track with a combination of bumps and turns. In such a bike track, you create speed by moving in pumping movements - hence the name "Pump track".
The pump track in Hafjell is located on Gondoltoppen. Bring your own bike or rent a children's bike with us. Cycling in a pump track is fun at all ages and you also train balance and fitness - in addition, it gives a great sense of mastery by being able to get up to speed without pedaling around.
Playground with climbing elements
Next to the pump track is a playground for the little ones, with fun climbing elements and challenges suitable for both small and large children. It is free, with benches available and open to everyone.
We also have a swing set and slide, located right by Skavlen.
Hunderfossen Adventure Park

The particularly calm and nice atmosphere in the park means that both children, grandparents and grandchildren enjoy being together here.

Maihaugen is a cultural history museum in scenic surroundings in Lillehammer. The museum's more than 200 historic buildings provide a unique insight into the way of life of the past in Norway. In the summer, many of the historic houses are opened, and you are invited in by "residents" from different times. Join us for nostalgic and educational meetings from the different eras.
Maihaugen also has many animals that are nice to greet. In the summer, they are out grazing in the open-air museum.
Hafjell Playland
The closest neighbor to Lilleputthammer is Hafjell Lekeland, which is one of Norway's largest indoor playgrounds with a play area of approx. 900 sqm. Here, children can jump, climb, crawl, balance, slide and explore obstacle courses and ball courts.
Open seats
In Øyerfjellet, there are still mountain farms that run traditional mountain farms with milk production for cows and goats. Some of these receive visitors and here you can cuddle with the animals, hear about life on the farm and take part in the barn care in the evening - here you also get some simple refreshments.
At Sjøsetra you can add farm visits during your stay - very suitable for families with children.
