Hiking in Hafjell

With the Gondola, many opportunities open up for hiking in Øyerfjellet. Short hikes on foot in the area around Gondoltoppen, trips into the mountains or to Hafjelltoppen. Some people choose to take the Gondola up or down to walk through the many cabin fields in Hafjell. After a hike, you can enjoy a bite to eat at one of our restaurants.

Øyerfjellet includes mountain areas between Gudbrandsdalen and Østerdalen. Total area approx. 430,000 decares, of which approx. 200,000 decares are bare mountains. Øyerfjellet is known for its plateaus, great hiking terrain and the good hunting and fishing opportunities. Øyer was once the largest in Gudbrandsdalen in terms of mountain farming, with more than 300 summer farms in operation. There are still about 30 summer farms in operation in Øyerfjellet.
