In the summer, the ski center has an Gondola to Hovden and the restaurant The Hill in the summer season. From the top of Hovden you have a great view of Oppdal city center and the whole of Dovrefjell, as well as Trollheimen and Sunndalsøra. From here there are a number of hiking trails into the mountain and the extra adventurous can take a bike in the Gondola and whizz down towards several of the various bike paths.
Oppdal is a fantastic destination in the summer, with majestic mountains, lush valleys, and endless hiking opportunities. Here you can hike in Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park and experience musk oxen from a safe distance, pointed mountains and deep valleys in Trollheimen or enjoy bike rides and rafting in beautiful nature. In the center you will find cozy cafes, shops and local food experiences. Oppdal offers a real mountain holiday - perfect for both families with children and adventurous people!
