About Kvitfjell

Snow-sure Kvitfjell Alpine Resort is the ski enthusiasts' first choice.

Kvitfjell is located in Fåvang, Ringebu municipality in Innlandet county. Located just 40 minutes north of Lillehammer, with trails in the entire spectrum from children's areas to black slopes with Olympic standard. All three mountainsides have a wide range of cabins, apartments, restaurants, one hotel and alpine slopes for everyone.

Peace and quiet, several kilometers of freshly groomed trails and freeride areas where you can focus on your skiing without queues and hassle. In the mountains in Gudbrandsdalen, the snow is safe. Kvitfjell ski resort is among the first ski resorts to open every year, and among the last to close.

Kvitfjell is known for the green, wide slopes where children and beginners can romp, but also the black slopes with Olympic standards. Kjetil Jansrud laid his foundation for becoming the world's best alpine skier, and every winter the world's elite come to Kvitfjell to train and run the World Cup.

Story

Kvitfjell Alpine Resort was created for the Olympics in 1994. Since then, Kvitfjell has gone from being just a downhill trail, to becoming a full-fledged ski resort with three mountainsides and one of Norway's most popular cabin areas. 

Kvitfjell Alpinanlegg is owned by Alpinco , which also owns Gudbrandsgard Hotel, Yttersvingen, Alpinco Hospitality and Hafjell and Oppdal Alpine Center. Kvitfjell Alpinanlegg operates two sports shops, ski rental and ski school.

Kvitfjell is a place for enjoyment and relaxation. In front of the fireplace at the cabin with the family, in the lounge at Gudbrandsgard Hotel, in the pool at the spa or at one of the restaurants that serve food from Gudbrandsdalen's lush mountainsides. Kvitfjell is surrounded by beautiful nature. All accommodations in Kvitfjell are located from 600 meters above sea level or higher, and you live in the middle of snow-sure surroundings with fresh mountain air and silence on all sides.

Kvitfjell for the family

In Kvitfjell it is easy for the children to advance from the belt lift to the bowl lift, and eventually try their hand at the slopes on Varden and the west side, and perhaps eventually all the way to the Olympic slope at Mellomstasjonen!  On both sides of the mountain there are children's areas, with slopes and lifts well adapted for the children's best skiing experience.
Try the slopes where the children swing between soft figures, or play on forest trails, take the leash lift, or become part of the Junior Ski Patrol.

Half of the skiing experience lies in the food you eat. 
In Kvitfjell you will find a wide selection of eateries, all of which are located in close proximity to the slopes.
Kvitfjell is known for its charming eateries with high quality food and drink.
The experience of Kvitfjell will not be complete without a lunch at Tyrihanstunet, après-ski at Koia, coffee from a barista at 
Gondolen Mountain Bistro or a delicious breakfast at Varden Restaurant.
